iGAP Finale Approaches

All the participating businesses on the Internet Growth Acceleration Programme (iGAP) have now completed the six modules. Feedback from the attendees has been excellent. Speakers and presentations covered a wide range of topics all geared towards building and growing internet businesses. The finale, at which each business will make a pitch will take place on Thursday 21st April 2010. The finale is being sponsored by Arthur Cox and the IGA would like to extend a large thank you to all the other sponsors - Qualcomm, Realex Payments, Paddy Power and Worky.

The programme has been a great success and sincere thanks to Brian Caulfield and all the people in EI who have worked so hard to make this happen - We look forward to hearing about your future plans :-)

If you are on this programme please add a comment.

It has been a great program to be a part of - because of Brian, the speakers and our fellow participants. dbTwang has developed a much stronger commercial core business while participating and we have seen our external approach to sales and partnerships become more effective.

Will be sorry to leave it because of the experience of sharing with the other founders around the table.

Very few start ups have the time to be strategic - iGAP forces you to find the time.

The programme gave us templates for success. The panels and speakers were world class. They demanded that you got off the fence and got ambitious for your company.

Huge thumbs up to Brian and the team. I hope this becomes an annual event. Along with "Leadership for Growth", iGAP gives a sense of Enterprise Ireland's ambition for itself.

That ambition is critical for their clients.

One key thing I would love to see is that the first cohort stay together at the end of this programme. I spoke to David MacDonald, and we probably need to plan a couple of simple steps to make sure that happens. Maybe meet once every 2 months to beat up a bunch of issues we all face?

The iGAP programme was excellent. One of the best and most structured series I have ever attended. I describe it as a Harvard degree in a shot glass! Your mind is quite literally buzzing with ideas, challenges and solutions after each session.

We have found the iGAP course to be incredibly valuable. I would suggest it is the single most progressive program the Irish Government have underway to stimulate the 'Knowledge Economy'. It is a credit to both Enterprise Ireland and all the contributors and supporters of www.alliance.ie

The quality of the material and the contributors was 1st class and we grew enormously as a company throughout the course. This opportunity has definitely increased our chances of building a successful and sustainable business.

Many thanks to all involved and to our fellow participants for the high quality interaction and discussions.

Without doubt the very best thing I have ever done for my business.
It was short, intense, and very practical. It has already made real monetary returns for the business and I am going to be applying what I have learnt for years to come.
I can only imagine what strings were pulled to get in the calibre of people leading each module and I have no idea how they will do it again.

Thanks to the great team in EI and IGA who pulled it together and above all thanks for making it a fun experience.

Echoing the comments of my fellow participants we feel incredibly lucky to have been part of the first iGap. The programme was delivered in 6 modules over as many months and each session I was amazed at the calibre of speaker, the quality of content, and the affect it had on our business. Like many start ups we were very eager to get the final funding module as quickly as possible, but Brian and his team nailed the sequence so that each module built on the last, and ultimately made the outcome much more relevant and useful. iGap is a must for any web related Irish companies that have a proposition and ambition that matches that of Enterprise Ireland and the www.alliance.ie.

IGAP should be a mandatory requirement for all online businesses in Ireland.
